Where Our Passion Is Christ!

We greet you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High God and the Savior of the World.

Donna and I, along with our staff and church family, would like to welcome you to The People’s Church. We are so glad that you’ve chosen to visit us today. It is our desire that your visit is vibrant and victorious. We pray that you’ll experience our vision as we live it out in praise and practice. As Israel was, so are we the children of promise.

At People’s Church we believe that the rich and regal Word of God has transforming power and that our lives must be visible evidence to those who will enter these sacred walls.

We assure you that because of the word of God families are strengthened and by faith, we claim the promises of God in our everyday lives. Should you choose to visit us, join us or simply support us, you are valued as a partner with us in ministry.

May the Lord be with you and your family as He is with ours.

  • A Word From Dr. V. K. Jones

By Vincent Jones 14 May, 2021
It’s amazing that we are more a year into this pandemic and yet God has sustained us and is, in His own time bringing us out. Things are beginning to open up, people are starting to move around more, children are going back to school and even mask are beginning to come off. There is only one thing left to do. Get vaccinated and let’s put this virus down for good. There is a hesitation that is growing about being vaccinated. It amazes me that believers will declare that God will protect them when it comes to the virus but not believe that God will protect them when it comes to the vaccine. Getting vaccinated in the single greatest opportunity we have to get past this year of terror. If you don’t know someone who has been negatively affected by Covid you must not be living on planet earth. So, as a Pastor/Leader/Teacher/Parent/Child I encourage you to get vaccinated. Your life or the life of someone you love may depend on it. Blessing and Peace be upon you! Pastor V. K. Jones

I was watching the news a few days ago and I heard a term that I’d never heard before but I certainly could identify with. The term was “pandemic fatigue.” It’s that feeling that we are all starting to have every time we have to put on a mask, stand six feet apart, bathe in sanitizer or not allowed to eat in our favorite restaurant or attend our own church. It’s that irritability from being closed off from the things we love to do for fear of contracting a deadly virus. I thought I would take a moment is this blog to encourage you to not get weary. Don’t let depression and despair overwhelm you during this time. Don’t get tired of virtual worship or Church support through prayer and through finance. Stay the course because that’s the only way to win this race and survive during this unprecedented time. I suggest several things…… 1. talk about your feelings of isolation. You’ll find you’re not alone. 2. Take time to get out of the house. It doesn’t have to be a crowd or a public area. Just get out and enjoy the sun on your face as you walk to end of the block and back. 3. Stay connected to your church through Zoom or live stream. Ask your Pastor to have just some zoom fellowships where you can see and talk to other members. 4. Stay connected to family through phone or video chat. These few steps can help manage pandemic fatigue as we wait for God to do what we know HE can do. God bless you and God keep you is my prayer!!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I greet you in the strong name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. I am pleased to be able to speak with you on this first blog and say something that will hopefully encourage you as we keep moving forward into this year of Pandemic and social justice and weather tragedies and wild fires and politics and and and! Well, what can be said about 2020 that hasn’t already been said? This has been a year like many of us have never seen and hopefully will never see again. I am not writing this blog to bemoan the current times but rather to remind you that even in the midst of this chaos we can rest in the calm of the relationship with the Master. God has not changed in the midst of it all and if we keep trusting and believing in Him the victory will be ours. Every church, including The People’s Church is in the middle of (never before) seen adjustments. From empty buildings to virtual worship and parking lot services and special precautions to online-giving and many more we are having to adjust. I believe that the one adjustment we must NOT make is trusting in God. That my friends must remain the same as it has been. We must keep trusting in the one who has brought us this far by faith. If we do that, He has promised never to leave us and never to forsake us. That’s the hope that I hold on to during these uncertain times. I pray that you will stay strong and stay safe and above all, STAY FAITHFUL! IN HIS SERVICE, Dr. V.K. Jones, Senior Pastor
